Get Someone Along

When travelling long distances alone you can become bored very quickly. It is best to have a friend to accompany you and have a conversation with. Not only will time pass by faster, but you also have someone to take turns driving with. In the worst case, you can catch up on some sleep while they drive and rotate until you arrive at your destination.

Make A Fresh Start

It is not good to start travelling long distances after a long day. It is better to get eight hours of sleep, good breakfast and a cup of tea or coffee in before you start your travels. If you have not slept enough, you can become tired easily and will probably not make it through the entire trip safely.

Take A Break

If you feel you are starting to get tired, pull over and stretch your legs. You should stop approximately every two hours to get your brain re-oxygenated, have a bathroom break or grab a snack. This way you can make sure you get the blood flowing through your body and to your brain to re-energize yourself.
